Tutorial: Straw Bonnet

The winners of the EGL Hair Accessory contest have been announced!  Congratulations to the winners.

So here is my entry, broken up into 3 images.  Click on them to full veiw.

For a first attempt I am pretty happy with it.  I do want to make another if I can find another hat to take apart; and maybe play with the brim shape and how the crown sits on my head.

  3. Thank you so much! I'm so going to make one of these! Just because of this, I went around the house looking for an old straw hat. Luckily no one is going to wear the ones I'm going to use since it's falling apart!

  4. This is beautiful! I would love to make one. I am currently sewing a dress from a 1840-50's pattern and this would be PERFECT with it. I can't quite read the instructions though. Can you help me out by supplying me with them? Thanks!
